As the cost of living cost goes up and up, I am afraid a day will come soon when the government would happily announce introduction of a tax on oxygen. According to media reports, the government plants to increase monthly tariff on gas stove in posh areas where gas is supplied round the clock. Does it mean that getting any civic facility uninterruptedly will be termed as luxurious in future? Common people are already squeezed by the skyrocketing prices. The price of everything is increasing like a wild horse. To stop waste of gas, the authorities can introduce meter system so that the user will become more discreet. The government should also try to stop polferage and recover ill-gotten wealth from people who has become filthy rich by dubious means. Instead of increasing household gas price the government can take preventive measures so that systems loss can be reduced and I am sure if the authorities are sincere, they can take stern action against those who are treating national asset as their own. To let go unbridled corruption in the gas sector without checking and increasing gas price to enhance the suffering of common people will be pennywise pound foolish. It surely would be the last straw that broke the camel's back.Pageviews from the past week
