Choosing a Partner:The subconscious ceience

US soprano , referring to the marriage of jacqueline Kennendy to Aristotle Onassis,Maria Callas's ex-lover.
Now,when it comes to choose a partner with the best possible genes as these genes will be passed on to our children and ensure that they are healthy. Therefore,we naturally seek out somebody with an immune system different from our own.Additionally,it is important to find a mate whose genes are also similar enough to our own to pass on a tried and tested immune system. Is this the reason we fancy those who remind us of our parents perhaps? When we are attrected to another person,it could be because we subconsciousky like their genes.
How do we do this?We simply seek and sniff out that person.Imagine an invisible overwhelming force that overpowers reason and invites passion.A force that dictates where Cupid's arrow will land.Cupid's chemistry. That's the power of pheromones.Pheromones are 'smellprints',supposedly as uniuqe as our fingerprints.Small is the most primitive of human senses, and pheromones, present in underarm perspitive, are detected by a small organ composed of a few small pits a few centimetres up the nose. The emotional reaction they provoke can, quite literally, be a 'turn on'!
We come to end of our rather interesting journey on that most powerful of emotions. The feeling which has , in history, turned brother against brother, friend against friend, and entire civilisations against each other. To surrender to its power would be undertaking a rocky journey,to ignore it would be accepting an incomplete human existence.

The origin of life

Biology dictates that we reproduce. It also directs us to reproduce not with any random partner, but one that best fits us, although not always literally. So, without knowing, we are all looking for something that will, as strange as it soungs, awaken the baby factory in us all.If this sounds quite disturbing, blame medical research , not me. I was quite perturbed by it too.
So having spent millions upon millions researching the emotion, what have scientists discovered? Well, they have managed to divide this grear search for a shareholder of the baby factory into 3 steps:
First is lust.Lust is driven by our hormones, testosterone and oestrogen. These hormones are what get us'out pn the pull'.
After  lust comes attraction. This is the love-struck phase; the time when we lose our appetite, can't sleep, and can't concentrate. This is what we know as falling in love, our palms stutter and become breathless, we can't think clearly and it feels like we have butterflies in our stomachs. This is all due to surging brain chemicals that excits us, sometimes to rather embarrassing extents.
The third stage of love is attachment-staying together.Attachment takes over from the attraction stage and is the bond that keeps couples together. After all,we couldn't possibly stay in the attraction stage forever-we would never get any work done due to daydreaming. Two different hormones are important during this phase of love.
They are oxytocin and vasopressin.

Theory on Love

Time & space : Notice that the young man lets his feelings for the girl evolve over a certain period of time.Initially the passage of time improves their relationship, but with the passage of time lengthening of distance, his feelings , and probably hers too, change.Yet although they might not be together, it is safe to argue that the two have nothing but good memories of each other.
The physics:His insides are"doing cartwheels", his face is twitching , and inside his hormones and impulses are being transported at various speeds, over great relative distances, and contributting to constant changes in his body , Blood pressure, body thermal energy content are all being affected.
The chemistry : I could talk of all the chemical compounds. But I won't , because we all know what Chemistey between a male and a female is meant to mean/
The biology: If I were to explain this segment, you would fold this magazine and start off on the chair. So I won't , because you know what I mean.

The Last Ride Together

A friend of mine once told me how she had read three Shakes-pear Plays over a period of serventy two hours. They were she added, the unabridged versions, with long exhaustive notes that were, at some point, harder to understand than the  lines themselves. It wasn't schoolwork.,and she absolutely hates Shakespeare,to this day calling him '...the food of English linguistic elitists'.So why read them? The reason was simple.Over the Internet she had met a highly interesting young man. They had got to talking and over the last fortning she had developed a 'thing'for him.He was an avid Shakespeare fan, and invited her to a Bangla theatrial version of the Merchant and intellectual'. (The science of attraction had begun its work.)
To my great dismay , the editors handed me the responsibility of writing a Valentine's Day special article on love. This was,in effect , asking a tone-deaf atheist to appreciate gospel music. You see, over time , I have accumulated a great deal cynicism about this phenomenon-a result of unsuccessful pursuits and far fewer successful pursuits that have ended up in the proverbial gutter.Add to that eyewitness evidence of the destructive forces of this mental affliction on friends and certain family members, and the vindication is complete.

The Golden Love

The day you walked in, no,barged into my life, you dragged me away from a life un-lived;a life imagined, drawn in black ink and hidden away in old notebooks.I was forty-five years old then , content in my bachelorhood.I did not meet my friends anymore,or go out to parties;most people annoyed me,and I preferred the conversations in my head. Then you showed up;a mutual friend introduced us at a coffee shop where I was hiding in the corner;your long hair, already white , caught my eye;and then your eyes,oh my, I had never seen eyes like that. You just sat down next to me,and started speaking to me as if we were old friends;our friend, being completely ignored, made some excuse and left after a few minutes.

GARDEN LOVE

Oh my soft skinned sharp tongued girl
how does your garden grow?
with violet diversions and lily white lies
and clairvoyance planted so

Oh you're cruel in kind disguise
what would I do for a kiss?
bruised and blue I make my escape
your honey spilling from my lips.
