If you have no sympathy for the troubles of others You are not worthy to be called by the name of "man".

Chinese and other Sinic cultures

"Ai," the traditional Chinese character for love consists of a heart(middle) inside of 'accept', feel. orperceive, which shows a graceful emotion. It can also be interpreted as a hand offering ones heart to another hand . Two philosophical underpinnings of love exist in the Chinese tradition, one from Confucianism which emphasized actions and duty while the other came from Mohism which championed a universal love. A core concept to Confucianism is Ren ( benevolent love), which focuses on duty, action and attitude in a relationship rather than love itself. In confuciansm, one displays benevolent love by performing actions such as filial piety , loyalty to the king and so forth. The concept of Ai, was developed by the chinese philosopher Mozi in the 4th century BC in reaction to Confucianism's benevolent love. Mozi tried to replace what he considered to be the long-entrenched chinese over-attachment to family and clan structures with the concept of 'universal love' In this , he argued directly against Confucians who believed that it was natural and correct for people to care about different people in different degrees . Mozi, by contrast, belived people in principle should care for all people equally. Mohism stressed that rather than adopting different attitudes towards different people, love should be unconditional and offered to everyone without regard to reciprocation , not just to friends, familu and other Confucian relations, Later in Chinese Buddhism, the term Ai(O) was adopted to refer to a passionate caring love and was considered a fundamental desire. In Buddhism , Ai was seen as capable of being either selfish or selfless, the latter being a key element towards enlightenment.
In contemporary Chinese, Ai(O) is often used as the equivalent of the Western concept of love. Ai is used as both a verb (wo ai ni mean I love you) and a noun ( aiqing mean romantic love) . However, due to the influence of Confucian Ren, the phrase 'Wo ai ni (I love you) carries with it a very specific sense of responsibility, commitment and loyalty. Instead of frequently saying " I love you" as in some Western societies, the Chinese are more likely to express feelings of affection in a more casual way. Consequently, " I like you" is a more common way of expressing affection in Chinese'; it  is more playful and less serious, This is also true in Japanese . The Chinese are also more likely to say "I love you" in English or other foreign languages than would in their mother tongue.

WHAT IS LOVE

Love is an emotion of strong affection and personal attachment .Love is also a compassion, and affection, and affection ; and 'the unselfish loyal and benevolent concern for the good of another'. Love is central to many religions, as in the Christian phrase, "God is love" or Agape in the Canonical gospels. Love may also be described as actions towards others (or oneself) based on compassion, or as actions towards others based on affection. In English, love refers to a variety of different feelings, states, and attitudes, ranging from pleasure ("I love that meal") to interpersonal attraction (I love my partner). Love may refer specifically to the passionate desire and intmacy of romantic love, to the sexual love of eros, to the emotional closeness of familial love, or the platonic love that defines friendship; to the profound oneness or devotion of religious love. This diversity of used and meanings, combined with the complexity of the feelings involved , makes love unusually differicult to consistently define, even compared to other emotional states.Love in its various forms acts as a major facilitator of interpersonal relationships and, owing to its central psychological importance, is one of the most common themes in the creative arts.Love may be understood as part of the survival instinct , a function to keep human beings together against menaces and to facilitate the continuation of the species.

Tourism in Bangladesh: problems and prospects

Forty years has elapsed of Bangladesh's tourism industry, yet we still see it in a nascent position in comparison to our neighbouring countries. Despite having all the potential to flourish , tourism in this country has been growing at a very slow pace. Bangladesh is not known as a tourism in this country has been growing at a very slow pace. Bangladesh is not known as a tourist destination in the international tourism market. Only 3 lacs foreign tourists came to Bangladesh in 2010 , of which more than 70 percent came for business and official from tourism to the country's GDP is less than 1 percent. The sector got recognition as an industry in 1999. But it never recognition as an industry in 1999. But it never received attention from the government to become a vibrant industry. Whereas many countries which started much later than Bangladesh, for example- Maldives, Malaysia , Vietnam , Cambodia , Laos PDR- have developed their tourism industry much faste than this country. In 1998 Bangladesh received 171,961 tourists and Cambodia received only 96,000 tourists. After 11 years in 2009, Bangladesh could attract only 267,000 tourists and Cambodia more than 2 million tourists. This comparison indicates discrepancy in the degree of initiative by two different countries within a same span of time.
The lack of development of the tourism industry of Bangladesh can be attributed to multiple reasons like less -prioritisation of tourism by all previous governments, lack of tourism by all previous governments, lack of budgetary allocation and scarcity of trained people in the industry. There is also a lack of publicity and marketing activities. We leg behind in projecting our attractions to international tourists through advertisements in international print and electronic media, as our neighobouring countries do. We have to do this for enhancing the positive image of our country and for introducing our prime tourist attractions as well as our vibrant culture. But , there is a lack of sufficient budgetary allocation. We need to develop an effective brand name for tourism.
We have never tried to understand that branding not only helps tourism of the country, it encourages foreign investment as well. A tourism branding campaign called 'Beautiful Bangladesh' has been developed, but according to the tourism stakeholders of the country it does not wholly reflect the tourist attractions of the country.

Besides Bangladeshs' natural beauty and historical monuments, the people are the countrys biggest asset for tourism. Even in Sundarban, where visitors marvel at the diverse wildlife and tranquil scenic beauty, the resouce collectors add an additional point of attraction . Millions of people depend on this ever-changing wilderness, ruled by tides and tigers. Tourists traveling through the maze of mangrove creeks may withness fishermen busy on their tiny wooden boats, grasscutters in the sea-facing meadows, wood and palm leave cutters and the famous honey collectors. The friendliness of the people of the forest are fascinating not only for photographers.
Skill training for hospitality sector -1
In Bangladesh, 'Hospitality' is a new thrust sector for growth and development, apart from the four conventionally recognised sectors of IT agro-based food, leathe goods and transportation . Amongst 160 million people , the hospitality sector has the potential to be the best service sector, through formal training and certification for development with a difference. The word 'hospitality', and awareness of its education, has not been there in a formal manner. Nowadays, in the competitive job market, people who are experienced and are certified by recognised institutes or organisation are hired on the merit of their skills. The Institute of Hotel Management and Hospitality focuses on giving 'hands on training' with practical knowledge and theory with certification, as well as counselling and guiding people to think positive on acquiring specialised skills. The ultimate goal of this sector should be to create jobs for job placement. The importance of growth of this specialised skill is possible by educating people and fine tuning their prior learning, to maintain the level of standard and services required. Hospitality related establishments need to put serious thought into the development of this sector. Certification and recognition, with the support of industry apprenticeship, is essential for better results. Linkages between roads, sea and air are very necessary for easy access and proper connectivity. This should be given utmost importance. With the growing need for expansion of hospitality and hotels, management of human resource development is a must . It is also very necessary to maintain standards of operation (SOP), step by step, under the dasic rules of job description and job tasks.
I already mentioned erlier the importance of human resources inverstment based on recognition of skills and expertise. With employment in appropriate sectors, this sector, if developed, can assist in minimising unemployment in the country. We need to join hands with PPP ( Public Private Partnership) to support a sustainable hospitality and tourism sector.

Power comes from the barrel of the gun is an saying, coined by some military genius whose name I cannot recollect now. In today's political environment and based on what we see around us, politics is the key source of power, particularly when this brand of total politics takes over the government of the country, as we see in Bangladesh today. MP, the popular abbreviation for member of parliament , seems to stand for muscle power these days, used by those who have it under the blessings of the party in power , against which even the normal law enforcement authority, comes second best.
Right is might is supposed to be the cornerstone of democracy but in Bangladesh, once elections are over, many people in power freely exercise personal power of might is right in no uncertain manner. This is the democracy that we see around us where politicians in power exercise power in the principle of winner takes all brand of muscle based power. Democracy is left behind , going into the pending file till the next national election comes around.

As the cost of living cost goes up and up, I am afraid a day will come soon when the government would happily announce introduction of a tax on oxygen. According to media reports, the government plants to increase monthly tariff on gas stove in posh areas where gas is supplied round the clock. Does it mean that getting any civic facility uninterruptedly will be termed as luxurious in future? Common people are already squeezed by the skyrocketing prices. The price of everything is increasing like a wild horse. To stop waste of gas, the authorities can introduce meter system so that the user will become more discreet. The government should also try to stop polferage and recover ill-gotten wealth from people who has become filthy rich by dubious means. Instead of increasing household gas price the government can take preventive measures so that systems loss can be reduced and I am sure if the authorities  are sincere, they can take stern action against those who are treating national asset as their own. To let go unbridled corruption in the gas sector without checking and increasing gas  price to enhance the suffering of common people will be pennywise pound foolish. It surely would be the last straw that broke the camel's back.

About seven years ago, when Eid-ul-Fitra, came quite close to Christmas , and it was interesting to observe the joy of festivities with family and friends and the giving and receiving of gifts. The giving is , of course , related to 'Zakat' by which , as I understand , 2.5% of one's disposable income' (e.g. cash, savings and jewellery) should be given away, once a year, to the extreme poor and orphans. As a foreigner living and working in Bangladesh, I see similarities between Eid and Christmas, such as the family coming together at a special time of the year, special foods, the joy of giving and remenbering those who have very little. My work in 2004 was connected with assisting the very poorest in a Government project, Adarsha Gram, which was assisted by the European Union and provided houses, homesteads and livelihoods to homeless and landless families, particularly those river erosion. Despite the many administrative and bureaucratic difficulties in managing such a project, the experience is enriching as well as humbling. I continue to work with the same category of extreme poor people with the DFID and AusAID supported Chars Livelihoods Programme in the north west of the country.

A news item on the government's move to prepare a list of teachers who are involved in coaching business, published in a national daily, has drawn my  attention. We are in favour of the education minister Nurul Islam Nahid's taking steps to stop coaching business. However, we also have to think about their salaries. We need to think if it is sufficient for them. Teacher's salary should increase sufficiently so that they can give full attention to their classes.Teachers should get city allowance, extra salary if they are working in city schools.
Teachers should also be responsible for failing to facilitate students learning coaching as well as guidebooks should be prohibited as both hamper students' learning. All schools should be graded in terms of students' academic performance and achievements in co-curricular activities in the regional or national level.

So if you are the guy giving a women amazing sex, it changes everything about how she'll feel about you and how she treats you. In fact, guys who I have coached into bedroom rock stars often describe it as "eye-opening " and even "life changing."
There are a lot of signs -both in and out of the bedroom -that you are not satisfying your women. Here's just a few signs your girl is not satisfied...Signs in Bedroom: 1) Your girl doesn't always come, and often doesn't finish during intercour, 2) You frequently have to initate the sex. 3) She is reluctant to go down on you, to have sex in certain positions, to try anything adventurous.
Signs outside of the Bedroom: You feel like you have to earn sex, by taking her being on your best behavior. You think your girl just doesn't like sex as much as you do. She has to be in the right mood and not tired or stressed from work. She nays you about household responsibility, how you dress, how you act You and your girl aren't having as much sex as you used to not as much as you would like to. If these sound like you, you aren't alone.

I have talked to thousands of women about their sex lives and I have seen it all - the great, the mediocre, and unfulfilled and unsatisfied. But the most surprising thing is that most guys are completely unaware of how they stack up in the bedroom.  So how big of a deal is it anyway? And how do you know where you stack up? Let me tell you something...it is a HUGE deal! Women crave sex far more than men. If you don't believe me, then you are not giving her good sex period. The difference is that women only want good sex. As a guy, you can have pretty mediocre sex and still finish. And even if the sex is phenomenal, most of the time you are still only going to finish once. Women on the other hand , usually don't  finish at all form mediocre and no matter how "close" she tells you she was , or how good she tells you it was, if she's not "getting there", she is disappointed.
And if it happens regularly we actually start to resent it , and even start to resent you for not learning how to do it right. But from great sex a women can easily finish 3,5 or even 10 times. The difference between amazing and just ok sex is not nearly as significant for guys as it is for girls. And here's something else you should know.Guys that can give us Amazing sex are few and far between.
